All I can say about this set from Strelets (comissioned by and exclusive to Linear-b) is that it is superb. The variety of poses, the sculpting and subject matter are excellent. There is very very little flash to deal with and the figures themselves are attached to the sprue mainly by their bases which means very little carefull knife work when detaching them.
street scene using one of my old roman scratch built houses
The Slave traders and their "wares" The one sitting comes seperately from the small gold laden table in front of him.
Traders. Not quite the butcher, baker and candlestick maker but Baker, potters and the butcher
A couple more traders. The bread maker. The cloth trader and cobbler. The bread maker comes with the table and if you look closely you can see that the cobbler has a nail in his left hand.
The rest of the set. Buyers. The arrogant stance of the paired figures....great stuff. The guy bidding..not only does he appear a bit annoyed but he seems to be indicating his annoyance with the all to familiar two fingers ;-D The last fig...this is IMHO the only small mistake in the set...the size of the goose´s head!!!!!
This is a wonderfull set that can be used for street scenes, camp scenes or to add to the two roman transport set.
Did I mention street scenes???? Here´s a couple more 😀
Remember that this set is exclusive for Linear-B
