Description:

Osman Eyalet Infantry 16-17 century

Unpainted plastic soldiers in 1/72 scale depicting Turkish/Ottoman Eyalet infantry, during the 16th and 17th centuries. By the term Eyalet, the brand referrers to provincial raised troops that mainly were not permanent and which different from one region to another as the empire was vast at the time.

This box contains 34 figures in 14 poses. The box is split in one of our favorite formats, three equal sprues with ten figures each, in ten different poses and one command sprue with four unique figures. Sculpture and detail is very good, the poses are a mix of weapons were muskets are the main one with five poses. There are also two pole weapons poses, followed by one swordsmen and one with an axe as well as one single archer pose. The command includes two musician, one standard bearer and an officer.

At the time this set was released paired with Red Box – 72089 – Osman Yeniçeri Infantry 16-17 century and they both belong to a larger series giving great coverage to the Ottoman Empire filling all the gaps that other manufacturers left.
