Spitfire Mk.Ia “Black & White”

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a British WWII Fighter Aircraft Mk.Ia. I was the first production version, produced from 1938. Series I had several modifications during its long production life. Initially there was no Ia or Ib, but once Mk Is started to be fitted with Hispano 20mm cannons (Ib) the initial production fitted with 8 Browning machine guns were renamed as Ia.

Kit includes 3 markings with the “Black & White” schema, used from 1938 up until 1940, used to difference friend from enemy aircrafts from ground. The three markings are from 1940 Battle of Britain time.
