Heinkel He 219 “Uhu”

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a German WWII night fighter aircraft Heinkel He 219, introduced in 1943 and produced in limited quantities (under 300 units). The Heinkel He 219 was the first operational aircraft in the world equipped with ejection seats.

This kit was released by Matchbox in 1996, and despite Revell had also tooled the Heinkel He 219 (in the late 60s) Matchbox release was based on the FROG moulds, also dated in the 60s. The kit included a decal sheet with one single marking.

During 90s Revell released both its own Heinkel He 219 but also the FROG ones. All of them were surpassed by the Dragon tooled kit in the early 90s.
