Heinkel He 115

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a German WWII Heinkel He 115 torpedo bomber seaplane introduced in 1939 and produced in limited numbers. Before the outbreak of the WWII Norway ordered and operated some Heinkel He 115. After German invasion several of them were flown to England and were operated by RAF and one escaped to Finland. Sweden also operated the type, purchased before the start of the WWII.

Original matchbox kit tooled in 1976. The kit was released till 1983 with the same box art and content, including same decal sheet, which included 3 markings, two German markings, dated 1942 and, 1940 and one Finnish marking, dated 1942.

Same kit was released also under the AMT-Matchbox brand, one more time by Matchbox with a new decal sheet as Matchbox – 40405 – Heinkel He 115, and two more times by Revell, in 2007 and 2012.
