Description:

Hurricane Mk.IID/IIC

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a British WWII fighter aircraft Hawker Hurricane, which despite of be eclipsed by Spitfires was produced in over 14000 units during the war and caused the 60% of the Luftwaffe losses during the Battle of Britain.

C and D variants changed machine guns by cannons (20mm an later more caliber) and added hard points for bombs attachment. With these variants, Hurricanes changed from its fighter role to attack-fighter/ground attack because at this point (1941) they were inferior to the latest German fighters develops.

This kit is a variation of Matchbox – PK-11 – Hawker Hurricane, introduced in 1989 introduced new parts and new decal sheet (of course new box art and layout and code number) to recreate the specific Mk.IID/IIC variant. It changed wing parts and added also parts the under wings (gondola-style pod) with a 40mm anti-tank gun of the D variant.

Decal sheet included two RAF markings dated 1942 and 1941 (night operations).
