Gloster Gladiator

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a British 30s Gloster Gladiator biplane fighter aircraft. It was the last biplane fighter serving in the RAF, saw service in all the theatres of the WWII and was widely used by a number of nations not only British. Introduced in 1937 was produced in over 700 units and primary served with RAF, South Africa and Finland but also Iraq, Sweden, Norway, China or Egypt.

Original Matchbox kit tooled in 1972 and released till 1992 several times, with two different box arts (changed in 1982) but keeping its code number PK-8 (or the later variation 40008).

Decal sheet included two markings, one Swedish and one British, both dated 1938.

In 1998 was released a last time with a different box art, code number and decal sheet as Matchbox – 40062 – Gloster Gladiator.
