Description:

German WW1 Artillery

Unpainted plastic soldiers in 1/72 scale depicting German field artillery during WWI, plus some infantry support weapons.

This box contains 24 figures in 6 different poses and 2 guns, in a mix of gun crew and infantry figures, for which 6 poses is a very short number.

The box contains the 7.7 cm Feldkanone 96 neuer Art (7.7 cm FK 96 n.A.), a German WWI field artillery gun that used the barrel of the older 7.7 cm FK 96 gun with a new recoil system, breech and a new carriage. The field is nicely modeled here, consisting of 10 parts per gun, above the average of the guns included in 1/72 scale figure sets.

Figures themselves are not so good, in part for the pose number, for the gun themselves you just get 2 crew men and one officer per gun, while originally the crew of these guns were of 5 men, and the rest of the figures (3 poses) are an strange mix with a sniper pose, a common rifle men and a MG 08 machine gun with gunner. The MG 08 has a separate part to avoid plastic excess in the front legs of the tripod, but the lack of a loaded, makes this model less useful. About detail and cast, they are quite nice figures, but the set fails into provide a good crew for the guns, and on the “extra” figures, the lack of a loader for the MG is also an odd.
