Description:

Neanderthal vs. Denisovan vs. Homo sapiens
Set 1

Unpainted plastic soldiers in 1/72 scale depicting our ancient ancestors, Neanderthal, Denisovan and us, Homo sapiens. It’s very hard to summarize in few lines something coherent about these three human or archaic human species, especially about Denisovan which are the latest discovered of the three and the less widespread but we can say that interactions of the modern humans with them them (interbreeding is the technical word) happened mainly in around 47,000–65,000 years ago with Neanderthals and about 44,000–54,000 with Denisovan in Eurasia.

For those interested in this complex subject, we recommend as initial reading Interbreeding between archaic and modern humans at Wikipedia.

It’s probably also too ambitious range to cover with one or two boxes but anyway Linear-A has produced some nice figures depicting these ancient humans, interacting or in common tasks like hunt and so. Of course a lot more can be done, since this kit is labeled as Set 1, maybe we can expected second one in the future to cover other aspects, and increase the number of figures and poses for each one.

Box contains 48 figures in 12 different poses. Roughly, we can say there are 4 poses for Homo Sapiens, 4 poses are Neanderthals (one of them interacting with a Denisovan) and the other 4 are Denisovan, including the previously mentioned interacting with a Neanderthal.
