Description:

Panzerkampfwagen 38 H 735(f)

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a French WW2 H35 tank. Designations of H38 or H39 are confusing, the term 38 was introduced by manufacturer designation Char léger Hotchkiss modèle 38 série D, with improvements mainly on engine and suspension, while official designation was Char léger modèle 1935 H modifié 39.
Often H38 is used to refer to the variant with this engine upgrade but without the long barrel L/35 37 mm SA38 gun, nowadays both H38 or H39 refer to the model with both improvements and H39 designation was never used officially. The long barrel version was an upgrade improvement started in 1940 complementary to the modifié 39 model that also refitted several earlier H35 tanks.

Kit feature a single piece moulded tracks as the R35 series did, but this time with a significant better quality if not perfect and all the hatches can be built either open or closed. Kit provides also parts for the German copula hatch type. Short and long barrel guns are also included.

This box includes decal sheet for six different German markings, Germans captured around 550 tanks of both H35 or H38/39 types, improving some of them with a hatch on cupula:
