Description:

Chinese Heavy Cavalry
16-17 century

Unpainted plastic soldiers in 1/72 scale depicting Chinese heavy cavalry during the 16th and 17th centuries. These centuries are the declive of the Ming dynasty till collapse.

Box contains 12 Mounted figures in 6 different poses. Horses also come in 6 different poses. The most noticeable change in this figures compared to the medium cavalry is they all except one are wearing also shoulders packs and forearms protections. There is still one archer pose by three polearms and then two more poses and one with a maze which seems to be the higher officer in all the thrilogy and the only who can be identified as so.

The main odd of this set, are the horses, they are the same included in the light cavalry set, together with the amount of flash and not great poses, we would have expect some armoured horses for these men. Horses are the weak point of all the trilogy and sadly the have been also used in the Korean counterpart.

*There is a misprint in the back box, in all the trilogy of the Chinese 16-17 century. Two sets of horses are used in the sets, each with six poses, the back box shows a mix of these two sets, but content of the bx may be different. Of the two sets, one is quite worse than the other, together with an excessive amount of flash compared to other sets of the brand. In at least the first production batch, both light and heavy cavalry boxes shared the same horses, being different in the medium cavalry box.
