BFW Udet U-12A Flamingo
German trainer biplane

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a German Udet U 12 Flamingo, an aerobatic, sports and trainer aircraft developed in Germany during 20s, initially conceived as a civilian aircraft but which had quite success in the export market and was produced in around 300 units.

U-12a was the main production variant, powered by a Siemens-Halske Sh 11. The aircraft was very popular, in part, because Ernst Udet‘s impressive aerobatics routines. Despite the commercial success of the aircraft, Udet Flugzeugbau declared bankruptcy and production passed to Bayerische Flugzeugwerke AG (B.F.W.) and licensed in several countries.

Kit includes a decal sheet with three German markings.
