The Battle of Midway 80th Anniversary

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a U.S. Consolidated PBY Catalina, a maritime patrol, torpedo bomber and rescue seaplane, employed by U.S. Navy and USAF during WWII.

Kit includes 2 commemorative markings with occasion of the 80th anniversary of the battle of Midway, which changed the sign of the war in the Pacific theater. Kit includes also canopy paint mask.

  • BuNo 04982, VP-44, Midway June 3 1942. Ensign Jewell “Jack” Harmon Reid ( the first to detect the Japanese fleet 700 nautical miles west of Midway)
  • BuNo unknown, VP-24, Midway June 1942. Ensign Gaylord Propst
