WWII Soviet Fighter
Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a Soviet 30s Polikarpov I-16 fighter aircraft. It was the first low-wing cantilever monoplane fighter with retractable landing mass produced and formed the backbone of the Soviet fighters aircrafts at the start of the WWII. The type also saw extensive service during Spanish Civil War, nicknamed Rata (Rat) by Nationalists and Mosca (Fly) by Republican side.
Type 18 was similar to Type 10, but powered by a Soviet build Shvetsov M-62 engine. They were fitted with 4 ShKAS machine guns, two in fuselage and two in wings.
Kit consists of 52 plastic parts and includes decal sheet with one single (Soviet) marking.
