Description:

Teutonic Knights.

Unpainted mounted on horse plastic soldier of the famous medieval knight order of Teutonic Knights (Order of Brothers of the German House of Saint Mary in Jerusalem) formed in 1192 in Acre. The order raised a quite powerful military power ending even by creating their own state in the southeastern shore of the baltic sea, its main area of influence, which existed from 1226 to 1525. The order reached its height of power around 1400 and started a long declive after being defeated by a Polish-Lithuanian army in the Battle of Grunwald in 1410.

There is no evidence of such horns decoration on Teutonic order helmets, so this maybe considered as a mistake and inaccuracy. Figures are appropriated for XIII century.

This set contains 17 mounted figure in 9 different poses. Same kit was also released by Zvezda.
