Description:

MIG-21 SMT Soviet Jet Fighter

introduced in 1959 and still in service in some countries as per 2021. Produced in over 11.000 units, it has been flown by over 60 countries around all the world.

SMT variant was an upgrade program of 1971, Nato reporting name Fishbed-K, consisted of upgrade radar to S = Sapfir radar, M = Modernised and T = Increased fuel capacity (from Russian word Toplivo). This variant had larger spine to accommodate the bigger fuel tanks and was very unpopular because was harder to fly.

Most of them were reworked with same fuel tanks as MiG-21bis and renamed to ST, being externally indistinguishable from the MiG-21bis.

Kit includes decal sheet with two Soviet markings.
