Description:

Staghound Mk.I “Tulip

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a U.S. designed armoured car in British Service during WW2.

RPM usually bring us some interesting and not usual models, and this one is not an exception. The Staghound was the British name for the T17/T17E1 U.S Armoured Cars. Curiously, these vehicles never saw action during the World War II with the U.S Army, but British and Commonwealth forces used them since the Italy campaign ahead.

These vehicles also saw action after the World War II in several theatres and countries, such Cuba, Nicaragua, Lebanon or Rhodesia and was active in some countries till the 80’s decade.

Tulip designation belongs to a field modification of the Canadian 12th Manitoba Dragoons fitting the Staghound with four 60 lb RP-3 (Rocket Projectile 3-inch) air to ground aircraft rocket launcher rails.

The model shares the main sprue with the rest of the Staghounds released by the bran plus the extra sprues for the rocket launchers.

Box contains decal with two canadian markings for 1945.
