Description:

Mexican Round Hat Infantry

Unpainted plastic soldiers depicting Mexican “Round Hat Infantry” during the Mexican-Texan war, Texan Revolution of 1935.

Box contains 49 figures in 16 poses.

An unique Imex box for a topic not covered by any other manufacturer. Despite the confusing title, as there was not “Round Hat Infantry” in the Mexican army of around 1830, the box contains (mainly) dismounted “Presidial” cavalry, and the figures are really nicely done. The subject turns around the “Alamo” during the Mexican-Texan war (1835-1836) and it’s influenced by cinematographic depictions which lead to some strange things in the set, though it’s still beautiful.

The most noticeable strange thing is dismounted cavalry fighting with lances, which are the most numerous weapon you can find in these figures.
