North American F-51D Mustang
Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a U.S. North American P-51 Mustang fighter aircraft developed during WWII. At the start of the Korean War, P-51 were redesignated F-51 and they were still the main bulk of fighter aircrafts in service till replaced by jet fighters. During the conflict the F-51s were mainly used as close support/attack aircrafts, fitted with rocket launchers and bombs. By 1953, they were largely replaced in front-line duties by jet fighters or attack fighters.
Re-release with new decals of kit A02047, tooled in 2012 as update of kit A01004 ( Airfix – A01004 – North American P-51D Mustang), the initial tool of the series, also from 2012 year.
