Description:

DHC Beaver
(de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver)

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a Canadian de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver, a STOL (short takeoff and landing) utility and transport aircraft conceived to operate as bush plane in the challenging climate and terrain conditions of Canada. Developed in the late 40s was produced till late 60s with over 1500 units produced being a very successful design.

Kit originally tooled in 1971, consists of 94 plastic parts with options to built the aircraft with floats and also to attach skis to wheels.

Includes decal sheet with two markings, one RAF dated 1971 and one U.S. Army during 60s.

As other kits from this era, it features raised panel lines and pretty basic cockpit detail.

Not a great kit but the only other maker modelling this subject in injected plastic was HobbyCraft who also did a basic kit. Dora Wings announced a new tool for this subject which would change this.
