Spitfire Mk.Ia “Wats Prop”

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a British WWII Fighter Aircraft Mk.Ia. I was the first production version, produced from 1938. Series I had several modifications during its long production life. Initially there was no Ia or Ib, but once Mk Is started to be fitted with Hispano 20mm cannons (Ib) the initial production fitted with 8 Browning machine guns were renamed as Ia.

Initially Mk Is had a two blades wooden propeller, named “Watts”, we guess it’s a mispel in the box print. This can be considered as an early Mk I.

Two of 3 the 3 markings included also wear the black&white scheme, to difference friend of enemies from ground.
