Harrier HS.Mk-1

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a British Hawker Siddeley Harrier, the first operational vertical/short takeoff and landing (V/STOL) developed during 60s and introduced in service in 1969. MK-1 (GR.1) was the initial production version and the AV-8A Harrier was a variant build for the U.S. Marine Corps.

Matchbox initially tooled the Harrier kit in 1972. For years it kept the same box art and decal and code number, this initial release was released by last time in 1982, when the box layout was updated as well as box art changed a bit. This initial release had a decal sheet with two markings, one for the U.S. Marine Corps (AV-8A Harrier) and one RAF.

After 1982 Matchbox started to rework the Harrier kit releasing up to four different variants with different updates.

1972 till 1981 box art, layout had minor changes.
