75 mm wz.1897 Schneider

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a French Canon de 75 modèle 1897 in Polish service.

It’s considered by many as the first real modern gun, despite its introduction in 1898, at the outbreak of the WWII many countries still had them in active in large number. Poland had received large numbers in 1919-20 to fight the Polish-Soviet War and in 1939 over a thousand were still active, being the the most numerous artillery piece in Polish service.

This small plastic model kit is one of the most versatile models ever created, the original gun were produced in over 40.000 units between the large period from 1897–1940 and amongst others, saw service during the French colonial campaigns, Boxer Rebellion, World War I, Polish–Soviet War, Rif War, Spanish Civil War, Second Sino Japanese War or World War II thought in the later often they were modernized versions.

This box contains two equal models, each one consisting of around just 17 parts.
