Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck M983A2 + BGM-109 GLCM Gryphon

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a U.S. M983A2 (HEMTT) heavy tractor and a BGM-109 GLCM (Ground Launched Cruise Missile) developed by the United States Air Force during 80s in response to Soviet mobile medium and short range nuclear missiles. BGM-109 were deployed in Europe and were dismantled in 1991 as part of the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty signed in 1987.

The missiles themselves were a derived develop from Tomahawk missile and only W84 thermonuclear warhead were developed, no conventional warheads.

Re-using the previously tooled M983A2, ModelCollect adds the BGM-109 parts, but sadly this combination is not historical. The tractor used for the BGM-109 launcher was the M1014 (MAN KAT1 8×8 heavy tractor) as the brand released as ModelCollect – UA72340 (Old UA72096) – Nato M1014 MAN Tractor & BGM-109G Ground Launched Cruise Missile.
