Description:

Heinkel 112 V10
with DB 601 A Engine

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a German WWII fighter aircraft Heinkel He 112. Despite its good performance the type lost the competition against Messerschmitt Bf 109 and only around 100 units were build.

V11 prototype belongs to the He 112B variant, originally intended to receive the Junkers Jumo 211A engine, but instead because unavailability received the DB 600Aa.

All the B series refined the Heinkel 112 to even overpass Messerschmitt Bf 109, but at the time this was already being mass produced and since both aircrafts had a similar performance there was no changes on productions plans. B variant was fitted with 2 7,62mm MGs (sides of the cowling) and two 20mm MG FF cannons in the wings.

Kit includes decal sheet with 3 markings, one from the testing prototype and two fictional markings.

Markings detail:

  • Heinkel 112 V10, W. Nr. 2253, testing aircraft, Marienehe, Germany, September 1938
  • Heinkel 112 C, Luftwaffe (Fictional)
  • Heinkel 112 C, Luftwaffe (Fictional)
