Description:

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a Soviet WWII fighter aircraft Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-3, introduced in early 1941 before the German invasion and produced in over 3000 units before the end of the war. Designed as a high altitude interceptor this ended up in a disadvantage as most of the combats in the Eastern front were at low or mid altitude, where the MiG-3 had no advantages but several defects, as poor maneuverability and climb rate compared to the German Bf 109s or other contemporary Soviet fighters.

MiG-3s had the highest losses ratio of the Soviet Air Force fighters during WWII, specially during 1941 at the outbreak of the Operation Barbarossa (German Invasion). The type was retired before the end of the war.

Decal sheet and instructions detail up to 14 different markings to chose from, most of them dated 1941 and a couple of 1942 markings.

Kit include PE detail parts and two canopies, allowing open or closed built. Kit new tooled in 2024.
