Description:
Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a Soviet WWII Armored train in service with the NKVD (People’s Commissariat for Internal Affairs), Nº 56 Early tipe.
The train is composed on an armored locomotive PR-35, UMMT – 688 – Armored Locomotive of Type PR-35 and two D-2 motorized armored cars, similar to kit UMMT – 649 – Experimental motorized armored car D-2 but original tool has been replaced here by 3D printed parts and the kit only includes one car, not two.
The brand aware in the instructions sheet that the 3D printed parts may require some surface treatment, which make us guess they have been printed with a 3D filaments printer rather than resin, which reduces the level of detail and possibilities of the technology, also aware to use cyanoacrylate glue for this parts. Noticeable also the cost increment this produces in the kit, considering it’s a kit of just two platforms (three if you consider the command and control platform attached to locomotive), versus the price other armored trains by UMMT have, including more platforms, and using only plastic or PE parts.
It still contains a large amount of PE (photo-etched) parts.
