Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a Sci-Fi subject from Macross anime franchise, in particular based on the Super Dimension Fortress Macross 1982 anime TV series.

Reissue of Imai – B-1300 – VF-1J Variable Fighter MILLIA Type under Bandai brand. This kit was reissued two times, in 1985 and 1997, before Bandai did a new tool for “variable” Valkyries in 2013, which strangely has not been reissued again.

The original Imai kit, though and excellent example of kit engineering, required a lot of steps and parts change to convert between the three modes, Battroid, Gerwalk and Fighter and obviously same issue remained in the Bandai reissue.

As particular release for Millia kit was mainly cast in a vivid red color which make it harder to paint. Few parts are cast in white.
