Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of an Anime subject based on Super Dimension Fortress Macross anime TV series. The topic only had been covered in 1/72 scale by ARII in the 80s (Arii – AR-309 – Tactical Pod Glaug), till now, with this 2025 new tool by Hasegawa. Kit is cast in 5 different colors allowing a basic finish without paint, also include decals. With this release Hasegawa completes an impressive selection of Zentradi mecha. Some of the arm joints are fixed, and two types of parts, bent and extended, are designed to be replaced according to the pose. All joints other than the arm are movable using poly parts. The cockpit hatch can be opened and closed, and when opened, the cylinder parts are attached. It’s a snap fit kit, no glue require for assembly.

The Tactical Pod Glaug is a Zentradi mecha from Super Dimension Fortress Macross (1982), designed as a high-performance command battle pod for Zentradi officers. Unlike the standard Regult battle pods, the Glaug features superior firepower, mobility, and a humanoid pilot interface, making it a formidable opponent in space combat.

• Armament: Equipped with a heavy particle beam cannon, twin medium-bore impact cannons, and anti-personnel laser turrets, giving it powerful long-range attack capabilities.
• Mobility: Unlike humanoid mechas like the VF-1 Valkyrie, the Glaug maintains a walker-style structure with reverse-jointed legs and high agility, making it effective in zero-gravity combat.
• Command Role: Typically piloted by Zentradi officers or aces, leading squads of standard Regult battle pods in battle formations.

The Glaug is iconic among Macross mecha for its distinct design and strategic importance in Zentradi warfare.
