The PLAMAX PX08 1/72 VF‑1S Strike Fighter Valkyrie Skull Leader from Max Factory is an exciting addition to the PLAMAX Fighter Valkyrie series, this time capturing the iconic Captain’s machine from Macross: Do You Remember Love?. Released in January 2025, it features true-to-film styling with its distinctive strike pack—including twin beam cannons, folded vertical tail fins, and a robust backpack module—accurately represented with new tooling.

Despite offering a reasonably low part count—which simplifies assembly—the kit delivers sharp, well-preserved surface details that give it the VF‑1’s signature dynamic presence. The engineering focuses on fit and stability: seams are minimized, joints lock firmly, and angles are optimized for strong display presence in strike mode.

Included in the kit are micro missile pods, double-action reactive bombs, underwing ordnance, and the iconic S-type head, along with a seated pilot figure. These parts evoke the dramatic early-film combat configuration, and the included decal options allow builders to create Roy Fokker, Max Jenius, or Hikaru Ichijyo versions of the Valkyrie.
