“Silence in the Sky”

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a German DFS Olympia Meise sailplane designed for the 1940 Olympic games (never celebrated). A contest to select the sailplane was celebrate in Italy in 1939, and the DFS Olympia won the contests being selected as a sailplane for the 1940 games never celebrated. At the end of the war most of the German build samples were destroyed (over 15000 gliders and sailplanes of all types were destroyed in 1945) but production was restarted after was as well as constructed in other countries.

Update with new decal sheet of AZModel kit, for example AZ Model – 23 – DFS Olympia, tooled in 2009.
