This box contains 47 foot figures in 11 different poses plus a mounted figure.

Figures in this set, and pretty much all the Seven Years range by Revell, are really too slender, but their main odd is detail is too soft and often missing. The mix of musketeers and grenadiers doesn’t help either, with poses split in an unbalanced way. All the grenadiers poses are charging, while the musketeer poses split into more common firing, reloading, standing or kneeling and holding a charge. Dummer, flag bearer, two officers and two NCOs complement the number of poses.

For decades these Revell range was the only available for the Seven Years War and though we love as collectors every single 1/72 scale set released, if we were thinking about set up an army or paint by pleasure or a small vignette in 1/72 scale for the Seven Years War, these figures would be in the last of our choices. The later Zvezda work and the even later HäT work, are better options for anyone looking into the period, though all the three brands products are very difficult to mix together but the different style on sculpture, being Zvezda the bigger of all of them, and HäT somewhere in the middle between Zvezda and Revell.
