Red Box did a good effort for the Boxer Rebellion (in North China between 1899 and 1901) representing all the major players in the event, but sadly their quality around the date of release, 2008, were less than years later, and quite below the standard set up decades before by manufacturers like ESCI, Matchbox or some of the later Airfix sets.

The box offers 48 figures in 12 different poses, mostly action poses, which could be fine if the cast and sculpture would have been better.
