Linear-A – 084 – Neo-Assyrian Empire Set 5 INFANTRY “kisir sharruti, sa sepe”

Description:

Unpainted plastic soldiers in 1/72 scale depicting Assyrian infantry of the Neo-Assyrian Empire, ran throughout much of the 9th to 7th centuries BC in a wide area from East Mediterranean (Levant), Mesopotamia, East Anatolia and expanding in its peak before violently fall in a short period at the end of the 7th BC century.

The set focuses in spearman, is composed of 40 figures in 10 different poses and presents three different types of troops, infantry, heavy infantry and auxiliary infantry. Also a couple of “Guards” of the “kisir sharruti” are included (ša qurubte, or royal bodyguards). The shields are provided in a nice variety, with round shields being the predominant, and the poses benefit here of the 3D technology used to create the figures providing very realistic poses, in particular those covering with the shield in action. Six of the poses are clearly in action while the other 4 are standing figures.
