This a nice little set with some nice and well engineered poses, when usually many makers had to chose to provide shields as a separate piece (not always with a good solution to re-attach) Strelets managed to keep the shields in place avoiding figures to look flat, with almost all the figures looking forward and shield hold in a 90º pose, which implies a good engineering on the tool. This particular array of poses is intended to depict a shield wall, with six poses kneeling and six standing up, allows a not bad depiction of the formation.

In the odds of the set, for many, the sculpture style, as well as some odd pose, and for us, the lack of inner detail in the shields. At the time the set was paired in release with Strelets – M008 – Roman Auxiliaries in Battle, but later Strelets continued extending the Auxiliaries range.
