Description:

Swiss Mercenaries

Unpainted plastic soldiers in 1/72 scale depicting Swiss mercenaries in the late (second mid) 15th century or early 16th century. The front box shows 15th century while the back box shows 16th which may be a misprint, as figures are more appropriated for the earlier date.

This box is a reissue of the old LW set, released in 2005, initially under the same name than this kit, Swiss Mercenaries and later as Swiss Infantry, Burgundian Wars. At the time of release the figures were useful in the lack of anything else released to cover this topic but nowadays you can find the Red Box releases or Ultima Ratio more useful to depict this part of the history though these figure can still be some useful to add more variety and poses even if quality is far from the best standards of the hobby. These figures seats in the lower size of the scale with an average 22mm height. Check LW – 2005 – Swiss Infantry, Burgundian Wars to see a picture of the original sprue.

Box contains three equal sprues, each one with 14 figures in 14 poses for a total of 48 foot figures, plus a bagged set of plastic pikes for the poses which require it, three per sprue.
