Description:

Unpainted plastic soldiers in 1/72 scale depicting U.S. WWII Paratroops, suitable for Normandy and ahead in the late war.

Kit consists of 40 figures in just 8 poses, you get 5 figures of each pose. This set (Part.II) is a complement/continuation of set Mars – 72120 – U.S. Paratroopers (WWII) and the set has a mix of good and bad things in it. In the mix of weapons the kit include a light mortar similar to the British Paratroopers one but it’s out of our references which mortar it is, as doesn’t resemble any WWII U.S. mortar we know. At least it has a crew of two.

There are several dynamic poses and variety of common weapons and then we found a flame-thrower, you will get 5 of this in the box and a guy firing a M1919 Browning machine gun from the waist, which is a very cinematographic pose but little realistic.

So again we feel the same as in the Mars – 72140 – U.S. Marines WWII and Mars – 72139 – British Paratroopers WWII, the number of weapons such a flame-thrower is excessive, and the pose with the M1919 Browning machine gun is just ridiculous as to get it x5. Regarding the mortar it’s probably our fault don’t identify it properly.

This set and the two other sets we mentioned above are more in the line of toys than collectables or complement figures for the existing range of vehicles and accessories or for modelers use in dioramas.
