This is an unusual set for the 1/72 scale figures, and a great example of what could have been done when looking into transform the 1/72 scale figures into something serious far from the toy perspective that maybe could have give the scale a estable place into the wargaming world as well as in the static display beyond vehicles and aircrafts.

Legio engineered these figures in a very interesting and clever way, all the figures except one, are composed of four parts, main body, rear plate, arms and head. This not only solves some of the molding problems of heads and arms positions, but also gives options to achieve more variety in the poses, and the solution with the separate back part, that helps to place arms, ends in a solid set up when all is fitted.

Together with these exquisite engineering, figures shows and excellent detail and sculpture level, as well as accuracy, which makes the set a very desirable option to depict the fearsome French Cuirassiers heavy shock cavalry.

The size and aspect of the figures make them compatible with the older ESCI and A Call To Arms sets, which is also a nice feature. In total, you get 16 figures in a variety of poses and 16 horses in 3 poses.

Sadly no more releases of this type came out from this short lived manufacturer.
