Description:

Pickett’s Charge 2

Unpainted plastic soldiers in 1/72 scale depicting Confederate Infantry during the American Civil War.

Set contains 46 foot figures in 20 different poses. The set belongs to a series depicting the famous but disastrous Pickett’s Charge during the battle of Gettysburg, July 1–3, 1863, considered as the turning point in the fate of the war. Despite the pretentious title of the series, in a pragmatic way to speak, but we found here is a set of Confederate Infantry advancing, in a pose that suggest that they are not clear marching anymore but with the enemy at sight and under fire. The set, split in two different sprues, one repeated three times with the troops, 13, advancing and the Streltsi bonus figure, and one unique sprue with seven unique figures which includes the common command, plus three casualties figures and a man which seems to be surrendering, despite the pose of the advance don’t suggest they are so close to the enemy.

In our opinion the set is very good, the sculpture has a bit of particular slim style but we don’t dislike the effect, especially when you rank them, the great variety and quantity of the 12 advancing poses makes its effect, you just need to combine them with a varied paint job to enhance this.
