Unpainted plastic soldiers in 1/72 scale depicting the well known French King’s Musketeers but during the Spanish War of Succession, a later period to the better known soldiers portrayed in the Alexandre Dumas novel. For around 1700 still two regiments of King’s Musketeers were active, intended to fight boot on foot or on horse as depicted in this set. The King’s Musketeers still wears a sort of tabard with the flaming cross decoration, shorten than decades before.

The box includes 12 different figures and 12 horses in 6 different poses. The horses has been used before in other French Cavalry sets of the Spanish War of Succession series by Strelets. The figures included here are nicely sculpted and detailed and perfectly matches the rest of the series.

The images below belongs to the master sculptures, but later castings in plastic does honor the excellent sculpture shown.
