Description:

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a British WWII bomber aircraft Armstrong Whitworth Whitley, a twin engined bomber in service since 1937 and part of the existing fleet at the outbreak of the WWII.

As bomber, the Armstrong Whitworth Whitley was superseded by new designs after 1942 and then relegated to secondary roles. Mk.V variant was the primary wartime production variant, derived from the Mk IV, featured alterations including straight-edged fins, leading-edge de-icing, and an extension of the tail fuselage by 15 inches (381mm) to enhance the tail gunner’s field of fire. It made its inaugural flight in December 1938 and production concluded in June 1943, with a total of 1,466 units of this type manufactured.

Kit consists of 152 parts and include decal sheet with two markings detailed below.

Reissue of same kit with same code number released and tooled in 2015.
