The A-10C Thunderbolt II is an upgraded version of the legendary A-10A “Warthog”, designed to enhance its precision strike capabilities, avionics, and survivability. Developed in the early 2000s, the A-10C features modern digital cockpit displays, improved targeting systems, and advanced weapon integration, making it even more effective in its primary role of close air support (CAS). Its rugged airframe, titanium-armored cockpit, and ability to sustain heavy damage ensure that it remains a battlefield workhorse, capable of operating in high-threat environments.

Equipped with the GAU-8/A Avenger 30mm rotary cannon, the A-10C can destroy armored vehicles, fortified positions, and enemy personnel with devastating accuracy. The integration of smart munitions, including JDAMs (Joint Direct Attack Munitions) and laser-guided bombs, allows for greater precision in all-weather conditions. Upgraded avionics, such as the Helmet-Mounted Cueing System (HMCS) and LITENING or Sniper targeting pods, provide pilots with enhanced situational awareness and targeting capabilities. Despite ongoing debates about its replacement, the A-10C remains a critical asset to the U.S. Air Force, proving its effectiveness in conflicts from Iraq and Afghanistan to modern-day operations.

The kit include a decal sheet with 7 markings, including two deployments in Afghanistan dated 2018. Include also a small PE (photo-etched) sheet.
