Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a Japanese Kawasaki T-4 trainer aircraft.

The Kawasaki T-4 stands as a subsonic intermediate jet trainer aircraft hailing from Japan, developed and produced by the prominent commercial conglomerate Kawasaki Heavy Industries. Exclusively operated by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF), this exclusivity is attributed, in part, to historical constraints on the export of military hardware. Beyond its primary role in training, the T-4 has found utility with the JASDF’s Blue Impulse aerobatic team and has been deployed for liaison duties with various fighter units. The inaugural flight of the XT-4 prototype took place on July 29, 1985, with the first production aircraft being delivered in September 1988.
