ICM – 72143 – “Radar Hunter” MiG-29 “9-13” Ukrainian Fighter with HARM missiles

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a Soviet MiG-29 air-superiority/multirole fighter aircraft introduced in the early ’80s in Ukrainian service.

During the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the Ukrainian armed forces have struggled to reconcile Western allies’ provided weapons with existing ex-Soviet systems. In 2022, they achieved the launch of U.S.-provided AGM-88 HARM anti-radar missiles from their MiG-29 fleet.

ICM updates their MiG-29 kit (ICM – 72141 – MiG-29 “9-13” “Fulcrum C”, Soviet Frontline Fighter) by adding a new sprue that includes HARM missiles, pylons, and new air-to-air missiles, replacing the original weapons payload of the kit, though all the original parts are still included. This kit also reuses the new decal sheet introduced in ICM – 72140 – THE GHOST OF KYIV MIG-29 of the Ukrainian Air Force, which contains numerals in contemporary Ukrainian style and digital camouflage, adding a new decal sheet with technical stencils.

The kit consists of around 91 parts, and the instruction sheet details two markings.
