JU-87 D-5 STUKA

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a German WW2 JU-87 D-5 STUKA dive bomber. Although it was kept in service during in all the war, it’s a plane more associated to the early stages of the Blitzkrieg, campaigns of Poland, Norway, Low Countries and France saw intensive use of the type, as well as in the early Russia invasion. During battle of Britain it required of large fighters escort, as was very vulnerable to enemy fighters.

Once Luftwaffe lost the air superiority was an easy target for enemy aircrafts and by the end of the war was largely replaced by ground attack variants of the Fw 190.
