Macchi C.202 “Folgore”

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of an Italian WWII fighter aircraft Macchi C.202 Folgore, introduced in 1941 and produced in over 1000 units. Despite its flaws like poor radio and being lightly armed was a very capable aircraft which achieved a better kill ratio during 1942 in the North African campaign than the German Messerschmitt Bf 109.

This is an original FROG kit tooled in 1963 that Matchbox released in 1996 with a new decal sheet.

It’s a very basic kit, with around 33 parts. Decal sheet included one single marking, Italian WWII, dated 1941.
