McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 C(D) Hornet

This kit is an anomaly in the Matchbox catalogue since originally it’s an Italeri kit tooled in 1980 and upgraded several times. Italeri launched for first time the C/D variant in 1992, updating original moulds with new parts (already updated before for A/B and Photo Recce versions) and all of the updates A/B/C were merged in a 1997 release. The Italeri kit has been and is yet, considered a good kit, released also under Revell, Tamiya, Trumpeter (upgrading with new parts) or KP (Kovozávody Prostějov).

Matchbox re-released this kit in the 90s with a new decal sheet which included one single marking, for Finnish Air Force.

We struggle to find a box cover image for this kit, and wonder if it was just released in limit markets, as Finland for example.
