Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a U.S. General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter aircraft.

Original Matchbox kit tooled in 1978, base of all the F-16 related Matchbox kits. Initially, released as PK-122 the kit was titled just General Dynamics F-16A/B, and included a decal sheet with one U.S. and one Dutch marking, keeping this appearance till 1982.

In 1986, the kit updated its box art and title to the “Thunderbirds” USAF Display Team versions, updating also the decal sheet, which now included again one Dutch maring but replaced the USAF marking by one from the Thunderbirds demonstrations team.

Matchbox released two more times the F-16 kit with new code numbers, box arts and decals as Matchbox – 40141 – General Dynamics F-16 B Fighting Falcon and Matchbox – 40146 – General Dynamics F-16 B RNAF “Tigermeet 1992”.

Kit includes parts for the two different cockits of the A (single seat fighter) or B (two seat trainer) variants.
