Messerschmitt Bf 109 E

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a German WWII fighter aircraft Messerschmitt Bf 109, the most produced fighter aircraft in history. E (Emil) series had its fire baptism during the Spanish Civil War as was the main variant in Luftwaffe service at the outbreak of the WWII till mid 1941.

An Original Matchbox kit tooled in 1973 which had a pretty etable life till its last release under Matchbox in the early 90s. The box art was slightly updated several times but the aircraft depicted was always the same and the box content was always the same including the decal sheet, which contained two markings, one German (1941 North Africa) and one Romanian (1941 East Front).

The swastika in the tail was later removed in the 1978 box redesign and onwards.
