Description:

Heinkel He 111 H

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a German 30s and WWII airliner and medium bomber Heinkel He 111. Despite being obsolete for the late war it remained in service during the fully conflict. In it’s licensed variant build in Spain as CASA 2.111 remained in service till early 70s. It’s inadequate defensive armament was put in reelive during the Battle of Britain but it remained in service in several different roles during all the war and was produced in over 6.500 units.

Original Matchbox kit tooled in 1975. It was released at least 4 more times, and one more time in the AMT-Matchbox. We mention this because in 1979 the AMT release introduced a new box art that later Matchbox used in their 1983 release and this is not a common fact in the Matchbox history. The kit ha on more change under Matchbox brand in 1992, introducing a third box art and a new decal sheet.

Finally, during 2000s Alanger also released this kit and that’s the last time it has been seen.

Originally the kit included a decal sheet with three markings, two German dated 1940 and 1943, and on Romanian marking, dated 1943. The 1992 release re-tooled the decal sheet but kept the same markings.
